Food and Ag-ISAC updates cybersecurity guide for small and midsize enterprises amid evolving threats
The Food and Ag-ISAC has released its updated Cybersecurity Guide for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, incorporating findings from the latest Food and Ag Cyber Threat Report. The guide revises previous recommendations and introduces new, practical steps to help businesses improve their cyber defenses. The twelve security practices recognize that organizations are not fully immune to cyber threats, but many of the practices outlined can meaningfully reduce risk, oftentimes at little to no cost. Small, affordable adjustments to cybersecurity protocols can make a significant difference in preventing incidents. Adopting these measures can lower the chances of a successful attack and boost…
is an approach to accuracy that devours data, learns patterns, and predicts. However, with the best models, even those predictions could crumble in the real world without a sound. Companies using machine learning systems tend to ask the same question: What went wrong? The standard thumb rule answer is “Data Drift”. If the properties of your customers, transactions or images change because of the distribution of the incoming data, the model’s understanding of the world becomes outdated. Data drift, however, is not a real problem but a symptom. I think the real concern is that most organizations monitor data without…
OpenAI’s next foundational model is GPT-5, and the AI startup is hoping that the model will compete a little more with rivals. Speaking at the AI Summit in Mexico, two OpenAI representatives confirmed that GPT-5 is indeed coming and that it’ll be a lot better than the existing OpenAI models. OpenAI is still working on GPT-5 and doesn’t know how much it will cost, but it doesn’t look like it will be “that” cheap, likely referring to the existing GPT-4 model. In addition, an OpenAI representative added that they hope to compete a little more with GPT-5 without providing details. “We…

AttackIQ releaseed AttackIQ Ready3. With expanded discovery capabilities, Ready3 maps both internal and external attack surfaces. By correlating asset discovery with vulnerability context, attack paths and compensating controls, the platform helps security teams identify which vulnerabilities are truly exposed because existing defenses are failing to stop them. The context enables teams to prioritize what’s actually reachable by adversaries and validate whether their security controls can stand up to real-world attacks. This release marks AttackIQ’s completed acquisition and integration of DeepSurface and transformation from a Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) platform into a full Adversarial Exposure Validation solution supporting Gartner CTEM.…
