A zero-click attack leveraging a freshly disclosed Messages vulnerability (CVE-2025-43200) has infected the iPhones of two European journalists with Paragon’s Graphite mercenary spyware, Citizen Lab researchers have revealed on Thursday. The attacks happened in January and early February 2025. “We believe that this infection would not have been visible to the target,” the researchers noted. About CVE-2025-43200 CVE-2025-43200 is a logic issue triggered when the Apple smartphone processed a maliciously crafted photo or video shared via an iCloud Link. Apparently, the target did not have to open or view the booby-trapped media file delivered via an iMessage for the exploit…
Paris, France, June 13th, 2025, CyberNewsWire Arsen, the cybersecurity startup known for defending organizations against social engineering threats, has announced the release of its new Vishing Simulation module, a cutting-edge tool designed to train employees against one of the fastest-growing attack vectors: voice phishing (vishing). This new module uses AI-generated voices and adaptive dialogue systems to simulate live phone-based social engineering attacks — such as those impersonating IT support desks — in a realistic and scalable way. Fighting the Rise of Voice-Based Social Engineering With attackers increasingly turning to phone calls as a vector for credential theft and initial access,…
With remarkable momentum behind its adoption, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is quickly becoming the de facto interface for connecting large language models (LLMs) to tools, APIs, databases and other services. Think of it as the USB-C of AI development – an elegant, standardized bridge that enables dynamic interaction between AI models and external environments. Major AI platforms, like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, already rely on it. (MCP is in fact Anthropic’s creation, a solution designed for Claude Desktop). Like anything, though, as MCP adoption accelerates, so does the risk. Because MCP connects models to powerful systems and sensitive data…
Check Point continues to grow our offerings and capabilities for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Our products continue to use AI and machine learning to not only save time and effort for security teams, but also…
That said, there are numerous scenarios in which the military can provide assistance to police, including by giving them “information” obtained “in the normal course” of their duties, unless applicable privacy laws prohibit it. Military members can also provide police with a wide variety of assistance so long as it’s in a “private capacity” and they’re off duty. Additionally, they can provide “expert advice,” so long as it doesn’t count as serving a function core to civilian police work. The Department of Defense did not immediately respond to a request for comment; however, a staff member in the Office of the…

Some networks go out of their way to stop VPN traffic, whether it’s to control what you can access, limit your privacy, or avoid legal issues. Learning how to make your VPN undetectable with a few (mostly) easy tweaks can save you a lot of frustration and help you avoid blocks. Since no single method works every time, the best approach is to combine tactics. Switch protocols, refresh your IP, or try stealth tools like Tor and Shadowsocks, among others. What works largely depends on the network you’re up against. In the guide below, we’ll cover 10 ways to make…
The European Commission announced Thursday it is allocating €145.5 million, or about US$170 million, to help public administrations and small and medium-sized enterprises adopt cybersecurity solutions and apply research-driven innovations. To support this effort, the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre has launched two funding calls. These funds are available through EU calls for proposals, which are competitive funding opportunities that award grants to research institutions, public bodies, NGOs, and private companies working on projects that advance European policy goals. The first call, part of the Digital Europe Programme, has a €55 million budget. Of this, €30 million is set aside specifically…
