AI agents can be tricked into covertly performing malicious actions by websites that are hidden from regular users’ view, JFrog AI architect Shaked Zychlinski has found. This novel approach allows attackers to inject prompts / instructions into these autonomous AI-powered “assistants”, allowing them to hijack agent behavior for their own malicious goals. Indirect prompt-injection poisoning attacks where hidden harmful instructions are embedded inside the same page the human visitor sees will rarely be detected by humans, but can be still detected by security systems. This new “parallel-poisoned web” attack goes a step further, and serves an entirely different version of…
Thanks to security teams improving exponentially at protecting networks, cyber criminals are increasingly targeting vulnerabilities in software. And, due to the near-ubiquitous deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), these criminals are finding exploitable flaws more easily than ever. According to the Stack Overflow Developer Survey, three-quarters of developers, in fact, are either using or plan to use AI coding tools, up from 70 percent a year ago. They’re doing so because of the clear benefits, which include increased productivity (as cited by 81 percent of developers), accelerated learning (62 percent) and improved efficiencies (58…
Chess.com confirms a limited data breach affecting 4,500 users after a third-party file transfer tool was compromised. No passwords or payments exposed. Chess.com has confirmed that a recent incident exposed information belonging to just over 4,500 users after attackers gained unauthorised access through a third-party file transfer application earlier this summer. Even though the breach only impacted a small portion of Chess.com’s 150 million users, it is still concerning since the site has suffered multiple data breaches in recent years. The company explained that the breach took place in two separate attacks on June 5 and June 18 2025. Investigators…
Palo Alto Networks this week revealed it will update its secure access service edge (SASE) platform that adds an ability to identify and neutralize malware in real time as end users employ an enterprise-grade browser that is integrated into the platform. Prisma SASE 4.0 also adds more than 140 pre-trained machine learning classifiers and customizable.. Microsoft says it has been enforcing multifactor authentication (MFA) for Azure Portal sign-ins across all tenants since March 2025. The company’s Azure MFA enforcement efforts were announced in May 2024 when Redmond began implementing mandatory MFA for all users signing into Azure to administer resources. One year ago, in August 2024, Microsoft also warned Entra global admins to enable MFA for their tenants by October 15, 2024, to ensure users don’t lose access to admin portals. After completing the rollout for Azure portal sign-ins, the company will begin enforcing MFA on Azure CLI, PowerShell, SDKs, and APIs in October 2025 to protect users’ accounts against…
Handshake, a decentralized DNS protocol, had a soft fork activated on August 28th. The soft fork’s main scope was to end on-chain airdrop claims that were originally delegated towards open source developers.Read All
engineering is one of the most relevant topics in machine learning today, which is why I’m writing my third article on the topic. My goal is to both broaden my understanding of engineering contexts for LLMs and share that knowledge through my articles. In today’s article, I’ll discuss improving the context you feed into your LLMs for question answering. Usually, this context is based on retrieval augmented generation (RAG), however, in today’s ever-shifting environment, this approach should be updated. The co-founder of Chroma (a vector database provider) tweeted that RAG is dead. I don’t fully agree that we won’t use…
The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) published five ICS (industrial control systems) advisories on Thursday, flagging critical vulnerabilities affecting operational technology products widely deployed across critical infrastructure. The advisories cover Honeywell’s OneWireless Wireless Device Manager, Mitsubishi Electric’s Iconics Digital Solutions, Delta Electronics’ COMMGR, Honeywell’s Experion PKS, and the End-of-Train and Head-of-Train Remote Linking Protocol used in the rail sector. In its first advisory, CISA detailed vulnerabilities in Mitsubishi Electric’s Iconics Digital Solutions portfolio. The agency catalogued several memory and handler-related vulnerabilities ranging from uninitialized variables to improper restriction of operations within the bounds of a memory buffer, sensitive…
At Black Hat Europe 2024, Cisco Duo established itself as the multifactor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) provider for the Network Operations Center (NOC), serving as the central application portal for NOC members to access their applications through Duo Central. During the Black Hat Europe show, we piloted Duo Directory and with the successful testing there, we did a full deployment at Black Hat Asia 2025. Since this was before the official launch, we could not blog about the IdP (Identity Provider) portion of Duo yet, but it was extremely successful in the private preview, and we expanded the…
