CrowdStrike has joined Google Cloud in a shared commitment to foster an open and interoperable AI security ecosystem through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which is built to transform how AI models interact with cybersecurity platforms.
This collaboration will enable seamless integration between the CrowdStrike Falcon® cybersecurity platform and AI models through standardized MCP servers. As part of this collaboration, we will work with Google to explore the development of a CrowdStrike-authored MCP server that enables customers to safely harness AI capabilities with their security data while minimizing the risks of unauthorized or incorrect implementations.
This collaboration helps set the foundation for a future where AI innovation and security work in harmony — accelerating what’s possible in cybersecurity.
Advancing AI for Security Operations
CrowdStrike and Google Cloud are working together to reduce the barriers between AI innovation and security by replacing complex, high-risk integrations with a secured, standardized way for AI to interact with enterprise security tools.
As AI reshapes cybersecurity, organizations face a critical challenge: securely connecting AI models to sensitive security data and tools. Without standardized protocols, security teams must choose between exploring powerful, but potentially risky, AI capabilities or maintaining strict control while sacrificing innovation. The fragmented landscape of custom integrations creates security risks, drives complexity, and slows adoption of transformative AI technologies that could help defend against sophisticated threats.
MCP is an open protocol that enables seamless integrations between large-language model (LLM) applications and external data sources and tools. Its goal is to simplify how LLMs can retrieve information, prompt actions, and interact with applications.
The CrowdStrike-authored MCP server, to be developed as part of this collaboration, will have the goal of fostering secure, efficient cross-product orchestration and automated response capabilities. Some of the benefits will include:
- Simplified AI integration and automation: Transform complex API integrations into natural language interactions, enabling AI agents to seamlessly connect with the Falcon platform through standardized, intuitive interfaces.
- Validated security architecture: Minimize security risks with a CrowdStrike-authored MCP server that provides validated pathways for AI integration, replacing potentially harmful third-party implementations with trustworthy enterprise-grade connections.
- Future-ready security operations: Transform security operations with powerful AI capabilities that streamline threat detection, investigation, and response.
