At ReliaQuest, our mindset is focused on getting a little bit better every day by living our values of accountability, adaptability, focus, and helpfulness. For the last four years, ReliaQuest has been sharing this mindset with students and teaching them life skills through the game of golf—all while raising awareness of cybersecurity and cybersecurity careers.
Since 2022, ReliaQuest has sponsored the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship, and specifically the Valspar’s youth golf clinic, in partnership with youth golf program First Tee of Tampa Bay. First Tee of Tampa Bay serves more than 70,000 students every year, allowing ReliaQuest to make an even greater impact year-round.
This year’s “Make it Possible” youth clinic at the Valspar Championship hosted 100 middle school students from local schools. Students participated in a group golf lesson, hands-on cybersecurity challenges, and additional activities focused on instilling a high-performance mindset.
ReliaQuest also hosted a “Make it Possible” award ceremony at the clinic, recognizing a coach nominated by First Tee who has made an exceptional impact on the community and young golfers chasing their own “possible.”
This year’s recipient was Nancy Taylor, a First Tee coach who previously played in the PGA Tour and has now dedicated herself to teaching children more about the sport, especially young women.
The clinic is just one example of how ReliaQuest uses partnerships with high-impact organizations to help raise awareness of cybersecurity and cybersecurity careers. This year, ReliaQuest also announced an official sponsorship with the wider PGA TOUR, making the company an official cybersecurity sponsor of the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions.
Through its community partnerships and outreach, ReliaQuest seeks to empower students with life skills and educate them about opportunities within the cybersecurity industry, equipping them to face the largest technical challenge of our generation.
